A large iron bound Anglo-Indian wooden ‘Damchiya” teak trunk. These chests are traditionally bridal dowry trunks, the lower section having two drawers and five internal secret compartments, original iron carrying handles, hinges, clasps and wooden wheels. A striking rustic piece that can be used for storage or as a sideboard. Circa: 1850
